sparkles at!!!
sometimes they want to talk to him. sometimes they don't. very much like he used to spend his days at work, Steve only chooses to interact when he feels like the other person wants to be interacted with. the person who wanders in today Steve can't really read, so instead he hangs out behind the desk - his feet up on the counter - looking through a magazine he's read hundreds of times before.
he doesn't notice she's walked up to the desk until she speaks, and he jumps a little at it, stumbling a bit to stand - his green work vest looking worn and boring. ] Hi! I'm- [ Steve, he almost says, even though his badge says it all. he blinks, looking to the movie and then back to the blue woman. ] R-rate it? You mean like- out of ten?
[ he reaches forward, taking the vhs out of her hand and turning it over to look at the front. ]
sorry steve 😔 at least she offers a distraction
[ She addresses, helpfully, without missing a beat. Her expression keeping that same neutral look. She doesn't helpfully offer her own name, though, since it's not the topic of the conversation. She does keep herself from making a comment on if Stephen (Steves) were as common as Peter because what the hell? ]
How else would you rate it?
[ Well. There's a few ways, but they're unnecessary for some piece of Terran entertainment. She lets the VHS go with ease to fold her arms across her chest. Then, in the same nononsense way that isn't meant to be mocking, but can come across that way she asks: ]
You have seen it, haven't you?
[ Because she'd feel silly if he hadn't. If it was here though, he must have seen it at some point (hopefully). ]
