"You're not going to frighten me away." Okay sure he was ready to jump out the window a few moments ago. Ignore that small failing. She could probably feel him mildly shaking through his hands, and he gripped hers tighter, careful not to hurt her.

"You deserve lovely things and I want to give them to you." Chris half wondered if they had made the coffee right because now all he could think of was that scene from Aladdin. Was his brain melting? Was he avoiding answering her? Yes, because he wasn't entirely sure just what he was feeling. Except that he cared.

"You're doing just fine. I'm nervous too. You're the first queen I've been around." He could almost hear Grams' voice in his head going 'she should get a dog instead. More loyal and they die sooner,' Thanks Grams. So much.

"Wait," He smiled. "Not normally? So you're comfortable with me?"

"I imagine queens are quite rare," Sansa says, laughing softly and squeezing his hands back. "We have an excess of them in Westeros - or did - but I imagine there are few elsewhere. Not so many places have as much political turmoil and people declaring themselves lord paramount every few moments."

She bites her lip a little, nervous, and she hasn't been nervous in a while before today.

"I have never been with a normal person before. This is very new. I suppose I must get used to lovely things."

Now would have been a good time for Chris to reveal several things. One. He was a whitelighter. Her whitelighter. And two, his brother declared himself king of the world. Was he going to say either of those things? Absolutely not. With any luck, it wouldn't bite him in the butt.

"I don't know a great many people who would call me normal, but it's a high compliment." He supposed he was normal though, at least in comparison to royalty or whatever she was.

"Sansa," Chris paused, trying to come up with the words he was thinking, to form them in his mouth, but he was struggling. "You deserve everything." That wasn't what he had been wanting to say, but that time would come. They needed to get used to eachother again, to circumvent that nervous, flitting circling they were doing. To settle again.

"Perhaps I do deserve everything," Sansa says. "Those things will have to come in time, I think, because everything all at once would be very overwhelming for...us, I think. I come from such a different place with different expectations and I must learn new ones now."

Sansa does smile again, hoping to lift this conversation out of the mire it has wandered into and back into the happier place.

"Do those things I deserve include more of those sweets you gave me earlier? I rather like sweet things."

"We'll take it slow. This is different for me too. And yeah, I think I can manage to produce a few more desserts for you." Since they were still holding hands, Chris got up, and pulled her up too.

"Now, your brother will be getting restless. Time to go find him before he thinks you've been abducted or something."
