Turning to face him, she opens herself up for a hug in greeting, if he'd like, and offers a simple explanation. ]
I'm unsure if you knew him, but Zagreus has left us, and he'd become a good friend to me. It's made me think about others, and the ones who are still here.
[ She isn't admonishing when she speaks again, after all, reaching out works both ways. It's only that she's realizing she would regret it, if she left this place and hadn't seen Sylvain in months and months. ]
It's been too long.

It has him giving her a warm squeeze in understanding. ]
I didn't know him, no, but I'm sorry. Missing them after they depart is probably one of the hardest parts of being here.
[ Now he's the one to cast her a crooked smile, looking a little sheepish, because he'd been very bad about reaching out to anyone in the weeks since that strange future they'd all lived through. ]
I know. I'd blame it on the war, but...
[ It might have been a little responsible for the upset, but he'd had a lot of things to work through, too. ]

You don't have to blame it on anything, time isn't a condition of our friendship.
[ It isn't as though she reached out, either. Not for any reason other than being wrapped up in her own life, busy and worried about everyone. ]
Reunited at a remembrance memorial. [ She looks at Sylvain, her expression warm and fond. ] I'm so glad you aren't a part of this.
[ She worries the longer she's here. One day, someone's going to leave that truly hurts her, and he's among the group of people who would take a piece of her heart with him if he did. ]
