Mat was one of the very first people Eddie met in Abraxas; a fellow musician with a frankly fantastic sense of humor if you ask someone with a similar sense of humor. He’d still regularly been using the instrument Mat had made him until factions shifted and he was forced to leave it behind, and while their interactions sine have been far and few between, Eddie would never forgive himself if he left without wishing him well.

“Hey, man.”

Eddie is clearly full of nerves as he approaches. He’s terrified of going home, and of what it might mean if and when he gets there, but he’s planning on following Steve and Robin as far as fate allows, and he does his best to grin and extend his hand to Mat.

“Long time no see. What’s the plan?”
