But maybe he'll find his friends still waiting. She has to hope it for him. That things will be better.

It's the sentimentality of the moment. Despite her often blunt outward demeanor, Ciri isn't exactly as much of a harsh realist as some might take her for.

If she couldn't hope for a better outcome, why has she struggled through so much to get here? ]
