( Whatever rumors are flying about his presence, he's remarkably ignorant of them. It isn't even that people have been particularly subtle about it; the odd little sidelong glances here and there, the mages who zip it the moment he's in earshot. It feels, slightly, as if he's regressed somehow, tipped back in time to his first semester at the Academy, where the rumor mill churned incessantly. He's there to learn, not entertain gossip.

Walking serves to clear his head, so he's taken to it often here, giving himself the chance to explore the castle, a different change of pace than running across the Settlement. There's no shortage of people here to meet, McCoy considers, as he eyes this lovely young woman over, unsure of her name, but sure that she's one of the Summoned like him. )

[ the manners has her smile holding. whether or not he's aware of the rumors, they have certainly been flying around - a new summoned, a new summoned from solvunn. the theories of who he is and what he knows run rampant. part of her was endlessly entertained by them, by the way the court picked up any hint of something new, from one of the other factions, and how it continued to snowball.

she had her own theories about the man, sure, but yennefer also didn't really have the patience lately to wait around and see if her theories would prove themselves to be true. instead, she decides to cut out the timeline and the middle man and approach him directly. after all - he's handsome enough. ]
