"I don't think I've met him," she admits, with a stray thought about Jesper being the social one of the pair of them. But then, Jesper was just bad at staying still, so it wouldn't be a surprise to her to find that he knew this Viktor fellow.
"Thank you," she nods. "I'll pay whatever I need to." That isn't her concern, though the discount for the Summoned is nice, still. "I was in Solvunn before, but then my best friend arrived and I moved when the Peace Summit happened. Not sure if you were here for that or not?"
"You'll probably meet him one of these days, he has an accent, yellow eyes, and walks with a cane. He's on the introverted side, but likes making things for people too." Jayce tends to lean toward the more pragmatic inventions and he's already been doing more of that here. That mindset is good for making money and that's exactly what they needed to move up here, so he doesn't mind.
"Solvunn. I have a few friends I met through the Horizon there, it seems like a peaceful place." Well, in comparison. Although peace may be a question mark for a lot of people these days. Jayce really hopes it doesn't get more and more difficult on that front, he'd really like to avoid conflict. "No, I missed it. Even if it ended badly, I'm hopeful the wish for peace will win out in the end." Why not lean toward optimism? He really doesn't want to be the person always pessimistic now.
She nods, making mental notes of the tell-tale signs he mentions. She'll keep an eye out and talk to him sometime. "I know the type," she's thinking of Wylan, their introverted, likes to make things (go boom) crow back home.
"Mostly, it was," she nods again at the assumption. "I think it was a show more than a true call for peace, but we'll see. I'd gladly be wrong on that score." She'd love for it to be the case, but she'll be ready when something strikes.
I think you said lead to wrap so you can wrap on yours! :D
"I've heard that from other people too, that they weren't sure it was sincere, but in my experience any effort to keep the peace, even flawed, could be a good thing." If they wanted to go to war they would have already. Jayce has limited experience outside of the past few years, and the past week of his time in their world where he was a politician.
Really he just doesn't want to go to war. He escaped one when he came here. It's one of the few positive notes about this place. But he smiles at her, sincerely. "Once I get the materials it should be just a few days at most, so maybe come by the end of the week, they should be done."
"One can only hope it leads somewhere more genuine." she nods. She does not have faith in it, but she can still hope for it, all the same.
She smiles and nods again. "Thank you. I shall see you then." She walks out of the shop with a little bit of a higher feeling than she'd walked inside of it with. At least she will have a decent pair of knives on hand again.
