1a. [Prior to leaving for the mountains, Kay can be encountered out in the rec yard, same as on the test drive. A good chunk of the time she can be found just screwing around with some of the equipment out there, kicking around a ball or tentatively trying to lift some of the weights. It might actually strike some as annoying, how fidgety and restless she is, though if you tell her to settle down she'll probably make a face at you and say something rude.]
1b. [She's also on a mission for Phoenix, trying to get tabs on just how many prisoners are there from other worlds, so everyone is likely to be approached at least once! She's not shy or subtle about introductions, and will mosey right up and ask directly:]
So, are you an actual criminal from this world? Or did you get thrown in here by the angry wizard guy too?
1c. [Closed to Cell Roomies] [Kay isn't any less restless once she's back in her cell... It's just the space she has in which to fidget is a lot smaller, and the people in there with her can't get away from it. She tends to keep going back and forth to the door a lot, both to fidget with the lock and also to pull faces at the guards behind their backs.
At one point, after a regular trip to the door, she checks to make sure there are no guards within earshot before turning to face the "room" at large, a sly grin on her face.]
Sooooo. Anyone hungry?
1d. [Closed to Phoenix] [Kay always waits by the door in anticipation of Mr. Wright coming by to visit,, but she's particularly eager to talk to him today. Rumors are flying around about some trip the prisoners are going to be taking tomorrow, and she needs to talk to him about it.
She just hopes he doesn't get too worried over what she has to say...]
2. June 14th through 18th: Into the Worm Zone
2a. Arrival & Acclimation (Jun 14th) [OTA] [She really hopes she hasn't made a big mistake in choosing to come out here. She could've just asked Mr. Wright to put in a good word for her, and she'd be back in the castle on festival duty... But it didn't feel fair or just for her to get out of it just like that. Not when every other prisoner here, all of them just as innocent as she is, would be forced into going.
No, she felt like she could do a lot more by coming along. After all, as the Yatagarasu (and as Phoenix Wright's new assistant, which is a position she has already decided to steal for herself), it's her duty to gather information and keep an eye out for injustice!
When they first get through the portal, she thinks the view alone already makes this worth it. The mountains are stunning, and she finds can't even make herself be frustrated about the cold when the view is so... Majestic. It's a welcome change after spending several days locked in a dingy cell.
Even better? There's SNOW! Kay is pretty jazzed about the snow, despite the cold that comes with it.]
You know what? I don't care if we're here on a mission of forced labor. This is SO much better than being stuck in that stupid dungeon. [She grins.] We should make a snow ninja! The guards won't mind, right?
[Someone please stop her before she overdoes it and passes out from altitude sickness.]
2b. Ice Breaking while Rock Breaking (Potential for Shared Hallucinations!) [Once the actual work gets started, Kay is much less enthused about all this. How can a cave system containing a big mysterious endangered monster possibly be so BORING?
She puts a decent amount of effort into her work when she feels like it, but. Emphasis on when she feels like it. She keeps looking for things to distract herself with, which means chattering at people within earshot.]
Hey, lemme ask you question?
[You are about to get hit with either a complete non sequitur, or an ice breaker question that sounds like it was pulled straight out of a college RA's team building handbook.]
[This prompt is for small talk that can lead into eventual shared hallucinations pulled from Kay's memories. Just let me know in the subject of your reply if that's something you're interested in!]
2c. Someone please put a child leash on this teenager [Despite the best efforts of anyone who might be trying to supervise her, Kay does manage to wander off and get herself lost in some side tunnels a few times. Fortunately, she manages to avoid the more labyrinthine sections, presumably out of sheer dumb luck.
You might hear some monstrous groaning from one of the deeper tunnels, only to find moments later that the source of the noise is none other than a certain haggard looking Great Thief. She stumbles out looking exhausted, but perks right up once she spots you, though.]
Oh my gosh, A PERSON! I thought I was going to DIE down here! Quick, where's the way out!?
[Hopefully you're not just lost down here yourself. Otherwise you're both going to have to figure this out together somehow.]
