As Goro examines the plans and listens to Viktor talk, he can't help but feel frustration growing in the pit of his stomach. "We are running short on time, and all I see are drawings on paper, and talk of theories." He grunts. "I need more than houseplants, Viktor." He puts the papers down. If this was Kuatan, he'd be less inclined to show restraint, but here he has to remember to keep his anger in check. But it's clear from his stony expression he's...unhappy. "This is not enough if the deadline is going to be made. I had assurances it would be."

Viktor lets out a breathy laugh, as if he'd expected this very answer. It's a fair criticism, especially from someone who is likely not familiar with the research process.

"Nobody wants to meet this deadline more than me, I assure you."

He's just as impatient--frustrated at having to start from scratch in a strange place with a new magic system. Still, he'll stand by what he's done so far.

"The theoretical work is sound. The practical application requires a conduit."
