When Marlo says that Jaskier was in fact attacked and that the bugs were designed to protect him after all, Jayce goes white as a sheet. He immediately relives Dean and Geralt's messages and his response. It doesn't matter how much he underlined that they could be wrong, because at the end of the day, he told Dean there was enough suspicion about the bug to remove it. He goes completely still and barely breathes for a moment.
