Jayce and Viktor have consciously been making things that always stay under the radar as perhaps very inventive but generally reasonable items. He doubts that they will be in constant or high demand outside of possibly making blades, but Lee has more power and authority there than he does.

But Jayce wants it clear between the two of them that he thinks it's a mistake. They always knew it was possible they could be weaponized by Cadens but that's when war was still just a far away concept. And if they're capable of making those, they can make other things.
