I'm on my way from misery to happiness today
WHO: Jesper Fahey, Ciri, Claude von Riegan, and Gideon Nav
WHAT: It's Quest Time Baby
WHERE: Throughout the journey to Solvunn's Supply Run
WHEN: September
WARNINGS: Eventual violence!
With Solvunn providing aid, the leaders of Thorne and the Free Cities have asked some of their trusted Summoned to travel to an agreed-upon meeting point to retrieve the supplies, check them, and bring everything back safely. This will take two weeks out of Cadens to do. While portals will be utilized to cut down on travel time, they will still need to cover the remaining distance of some miles to reach their final destination each way.
The Free Cities will ask the Summoned to accompany some soldiers to help guard the supply transport. They will be taking the southern trail (shown by the dotted lines) across the desert, traveling west to the forest that sits between the Solvunn and Free Cities border. While a portal will take the transport team as close as possible, characters will still need to make the rest of the journey by horse, ensuring the wagons come through the portal safely. They will also need to watch for the usual beasts and bandits, as well as take into account weather, terrain, and other hazards. To complete the assignment, they must successfully bring the supplies back to the waiting portal and into Cadens.

Harassing the thing with strike after strike, she begins to force it back in the direction of the ledge. Some peripheral part of her watching out for Claude, for the moment when the dumb, nasty creatures will (hopefully) lock down on his feigned vulnerability. She means to be there when it happens, if she can. Wants to see what will happen when they fall within the ravine-monster's reach.

As they go, his horse begins to protest whether from approaching the sheer drop, the monsters creeping ever closer, or both, and leading the way there comes with sidesteps from her and some whinnies just to make her disapproval clear. "Easy," he murmurs to the horse with a reassuring pat to her neck. "We're both gonna get out of this just fine, I promise." Hopefully. He's not about to say otherwise, though, since she settles enough to keep walking forward with one final snort of attitude.
The sheer speed and skill of his companions combined means that when Claude forces the nearest sandskid over the edge with it giving one last hiss as it falls, he quickly nudges his horse out of the way to follow through on that promise of safety and so he can watch as they help the other monsters also meet whatever it is lurking in the ravine that'd studied him so carefully.

She watches the first monster, screeching and chittering, tumble over the edge. And then, suddenly, she's there beside Claude, sweeping a second beast toward the sheer drop.
