[He makes a face at the kid's question] Oh, a 'gift' from the Singularity, apparently. If there's any sentience to that damn rock it probably thought it was funny. [He doesn't need any reminder of "Angel Radio" it's bad enough that he isn't the only one of his kind here.] You'll be lucky if it doesn't do something to you that utterly wrecks your ability to be stealthy.
[Maybe turn him into a pyro like it did Wilhelm. But arguably that's been a greater problem.]

[ He clearly doesn’t fully comprehend the point of the static. He knows the Singularity gives gifts; it’s even chosen to gift him with a small ability, but it’s something helpful and enjoyable—to him, at least. Other people might feel differently when he uses it every time he enters a room. He can’t quite figure out what about radio static falls into useful territory. ]
I mean, it gave me something, but it’s more like—
[ Always open for the opportunity to show off, he waves his hand, and a heavy metal guitar riff fulls the air. He waves his hand again to cut it off before it goes on too long, and shrugs. ]
So, uh…you picking up any good stations, or…?
no subject
At least the kid has control of it. Whether or not it comes in more use than Lucifer's. Maybe a distraction tactic? Mmm.]
No. Not that I imagine there is anything to pick up, unless Free Cities has some form of radio. [That would be interesting, actually, but thus far he's only been able to stifle the sound, not hone it.] Maybe it's just picking up the dead void of the universe. [He sounds serious about that, however his face contradicts it.]

His annoyance doesn’t last though, and his grin returns. ]
Yeah, the dead void of this universe.
[ Stick with him here. ]
Back home, we could sometimes pick up transmissions from Europe if the weather was right. Don’t get me wrong—Europe’s not exactly lightyears away or anything, but that static’s gotta have a use, right?
[ He likes to call himself cynical, but he might be just a bit more optimistic about the Horizon and what it can offer than other people. ]
Tried picking up anything from another universe?
no subject
He's got enough ammunition for that without adding his feelings on multiverses.]
It's nice that you think that, but I truly only see it as some potentially-sentient magic rock's poor sense of humor. Either way? Hearing from the rest of the universe? [Whoops he's going there anyway. The disdain is too strong. His face twists into a sneer.] Really isn't my scene.

[ He holds up his hands defensively. The look on this guy’s face couldn’t read as anything but disdain, and Eddie gets it—he really does. Sooner or later, he expects the Singularity is going to give him bat wings just for a chuckle or something, but at least those might be useful. ]
No offense, man, but what is your scene? I mean, I’m about a cynical as they come, but have you ever cracked a smile in your life?
[ If only he knew he was literally poking fun at the Devil. That would be one for the books. ]
no subject
(It's not, but Lucifer isn't going to admit that.)
He holds his hands up, too, but it's more of a lazy shrug than anything, and the smile he cracks is all teeth and razor edges, grinning in a way that doesn't look like it should fit on his face. The joys of vessels. His voice is lulled.] What are you talking about? I'm a ray of sunshine.
no subject
Yeah, alright. Guess you’ve just got one of those faces. My uncle’s the same way.
[ Wayne Munson was never off-putting, though. Just stern and generally unsmiling, though Eddie could read him far easier than he can read this man. So he decides to move on, settling instead on the arcana embroidered on Lucifer’s collar. Same hat, basically. ]
So—you too?
[ He gestures to his own, embroidered quite large on the breast of his jacket. ]
How’s that treating you?
no subject
He knew, in theory that there were others that shared the arcana from the Thorne books and various other chatter about it, but...]
I've never met anyone else with it. [As far as he knew, anyway. He didn't know the white-haired contentiousness woman shared the symbol.] It was the beginning of this place's poor sense of humor. The Horizon [he flicks a finger at the symbol] for all it's mentalscape possibilities, and evidently creating labyrinths on its own... really likes to make sure this is attached to me. [He's tried to "dream away" and change his appearance here and yet he just... can't.]
