[She sees her mistake as she handed the book towards him. Her face heated from embarrassment, not wishing to appear ignorant. But should she really be afraid of that? They were both new to this magic.

Regardless, it makes her stumble a little over her words.]

Five classes. Academic Magic, High Magic, Wild Magic- [She bit her lower lip, forgetting what she just read. She leaned over, glancing at the pages.] Oh, New Magic and Non-Arcane Magic.

I believe Thorne prefers Academic.

[ elrond nods quietly. he had heard of that, vaguely, though he was still processing magic as a whole. ]

Do you wish to learn magic?

The thought has crossed my mind. I considered alchemy, but I do not know if it is possible to learn without knowing magic.

In my world, it is something anyone may study, so long as they have access to the books.

And do you know of many practitioners of magic?

Only the ones currently at court. Though, I've been told to speak to a lady named Yennefer.

Apparently she knows a great deal.

[The name is different from what she's used to, it doesn't give her much indication whether this is a lady or a gentleman.]

What were you told?

He holds magical sessions every morning at the castle. For newcomers to learn and train.

What do you make of the magic of this world?

It is hard for me to say. Magic, to me, is innate. It is in the air, in our lungs.

It has never been so clinical.

Do you mean that it is in everything? Is it so mundane?

It is not wielded, though we can harness, I suppose. It can be put into our craft and our metals, our homes and trees.

But there are no spells, no . . . instructions. It comes to us naturally.
