[ At the explanation, the reasons behind the betrayal and he wanted war, Kahlil's eyes narrow. Rhy might not be able to see it on his face from how they're positioned, but he'll be able to hear the shift in Kahlil's voice, the hard, cold edge that he lets slip this time: ]

[ The queen doesn't need more allies for her war-mongering, especially not amongst the Summoned. They're all too connected.

Rhy will feel him shake his head after a second. He knows that's probably no solace to Rhy, right now. ]

[ Rhy sighs. Kahlil will feel the sag of his shoulders, the heaviness of more of his weight settling against him as if that exhale has taken all the rest of Rhy's energy, leaving him barely holding himself up. ]

Despite him mentioning no names, if Kahlil has been paying attention to the other Summoned or asks around a little, it won't be difficult to know who Rhy is referring to. It's been a couple of months since he and Ronan were close, but they could frequently be seen together around the castle. ]

[ This time, he doesn't say anything in reply. He pulls Rhy a little closer as he feels his shoulders sag like that, squeezing his hand and resting his cheek against the top of his head again, and turning to gently press his lips there.
