Do you really like meditating that much?

[Abby had been working on her own corner of the Horizon, carving out a space to call her own. But as her creation was very much created in the image of home. It hurt more than it felt comfortable at this moment.]

[So she wandered to see what others were up to, just to get a gauge to what was possible in the impossible. Only to find an old man meditating inside a place you get to by meditating.]

[Abby's mark of The Lovers is stitched into her crop top just over her heart, red on black. With a pair of simple but form fitting jeans dragging low enough to obscure her sneakers. The best element of being here, being in this place, was her clothes being her's. To a degree anyway.]

[ Obi-Wan's eye cracks open from where he's hovering, peering down at the young woman dressed- quite a bit like Ayla if he thought about it. Curious. ]

It is something of a habit, I suppose. To better center myself and remain in contact with The Force.

[ He remains hovering for the moment, unable to stand for the sleeping tooka kitten purring in his lap. For the time being, he lives here. It's an excellent means of practicing his focus. ]

Here, at least, it feels as it should. Out in the Free Cities...less so.

So the meditating out there isn't doing it for you, but the meditating in here is?

[She's not judging nearly as much as she could be. Mostly she is sticking it out in here because of the peaceful vibe. Which could be a trap but her body isn't actually here so she can always just dip.]

Do you normally tell gravity to fuck off when you meditate?

More or less.

[ Obi-Wan answers with a wry smile, lifting one shoulder. In his lap the Tooka kit snuffles and stretches, shaking herself out from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail before leaping from Obi-Wan's lap to wander to their guest. Thus freed, Obi-Wan allows gravity to once again take hold and stands, hands sliding into the sleeves of his robe. ]

There a lot more questions to ask strangers. Also strangers to ask questions.

[Abby shrugged and let herself drop to the ground. Tucking her knee against her chest to sit. She's bored, and this place feels calming. And going from constant connection to everyone in her life, to having one botanical sales representative looking out for her was quite the vacancy in her attention.]

[ A precocious teenager. Certainly nothing he has experience with in the slightest- Obi-Wan smiles faintly to himself and drops to sit a respectable distance away from her while the Tooka kit wanders over to rub against her shins, purring. ]

[She'd been keeping an eye on the weird birdfoot cat, but she's never been the girl to coo over cute animals. Of course, if it's bugging her and her hand is free, she will just stroke the thing. Just because.]

I've seen a few things, bigger ones get less impressive the more things you see. It often starts to feel like compensating. Nothing that really inspires me anyway.

[ His eyes light up, crinkling in mild amusement. There's somethingto be said for quick witted youths and his fondnessfor them. Anyone too pleasantout the gate has him inherently wary. ]

I must admit I haven't wandered much, content to perfect what I began building here my first visit. The urge to create is fascinating, especially when we are such blank slates upon our initial arrival. We recall nothing if the world we were summoned to or our own homes, yet we gravitate toward the familiar intuitively.

[There's something to be said about not giving out all the information. Abby didn't give her full name, or even her full first name. For that reason. Who cares?]

Well, you did make this place calming as fuck. Easy to not go elsewhere. Maybe build something less peaceful next time?

[ There's no real need for titles among the summoned, he supposes, with how often the order simply isn't recognized. ]

I continue to be surprised and somewhat gratified to know that visitors experience this domain as I do. It truly wasn't my intention to create something...serenely disruptive?

I'll get bored of the calm eventually and go look for something insane. You're the one talking about not getting out much.

[She holds one hand flat, waving the other over it to conjure... a cookie. She's bored, even if snacks don't sustain they do have taste. And she's gotten oreos right finally.]

If you build something perfect here, what's the point in going anywhere else?

I'm certain there's no shortage of odd sights beyond this garden.

[ He'll need to make a map for himself, from what little he has seen and heard. ]

One cannot spend all their time in one place. Comforting as I've made this domain- without any real variation in my environment- what incentive have I to learn and grow? Very little.

[Abby conjures a second oreo to eat, pauses... then conjures a third, and offers it to Obi Wan. Politeness.]

The thing is, one place here isn't one place. You can make anything in here. I could come back in an hour and this could be a deathtrap filled maze. Be weird as fuck with the calming vibe you have going on, but you could do it.

[Abby's pretty sure growing and learning happens anywhere anyone wants to learn and grow. She, normally, doesn't want to put in that kind of effort. Learning and growing happen to her enough in spite of this.]

[ Curious, but not so much as to decline the offer made, he reaches over to collect the small sandwich- pastry? No, a cookie of some kind with his hands rather than making use of the Force.

Simply because one can does not mean one should. ]

...I'm quite content with the arrangement as it is currently, though I may make additions as time progresses- [ a beat, a bite of the cookie, and his brow furrows somewhat in Abby's direction. ] I take it that's some manner of invective?

[How to explain without exposing her own... weaknesses. That's always the problem Abby has. Abby can't make a space that's so cozy for herself, because no space in her memory is. There are people, but she can't have them. So all she makes will be redefining herself in some way.]

Contentment is why this space isn't going to challenge you. If you're content, you don't need to reach for more right? I can't make a space I'd be content in, and maybe that's a good thing.

[Invective isn't a word Abby knows, but she's trying her best.]

While contentment is restful- it can prompt stagnation. As pleasant a it is to attune to the tree and this plane there is a whole world and galaxy of people for me to meet and learn.

[ Who knows what he might find? If there are others not quite but similar to him, those with greatly differing philosophies with their own perspectives and opinions on the Free Cities, the Singularity, the pit. ]

I mostly use it to punctuate the thought, for emphasis. But it's actual meaning is crass.

Um. Fuck. Past tense fucked, continuous fucking. Fucks is either plural, or third person present.

So- 'I have no fucks to give' or 'what the fuck was that' or 'this entire conversation has gone of the fucking rails.'

[That last one is her actual description of what is going the fuck on right now.]

A most versatile word indeed. So it can be both noun, adjective, and verb? Curious.

[ He'll just tuck that away in his mental library of words to use when deeply stressed. It certainly has a more emphatic punch to it than 'kriff'. ]

I suppose it'd be inappropriate to inquire as to the meaning of the word?

[Even the calming nature of Obi Wan's domain doesn't quite keep that question from being a problem.]

Proper usage is as a verb. It's- well, sexual intercourse. Not lovemaking, like- purely for the fun of it sex.

But casual use is more about a measure of concern one has, or about how impactful something is.

[Which raises a bunch of questions Abby's never considered as to how that became all its colloqial uses. Other than, of course, it being a fun word to say. Lot's of good sounds to it.]

[ Obi-Wan's brows shoot up as he makes note, mouths the word silently to himself, and nods. ]

That is most emphatic for describing a fling, I must say, but it certainly makes an impact. Certainly more than the usual lexicon from my reality.

It's got a lot of good sounds I guess? And it's short.

'Sexual intercourse' just doesn't fit into any sort of tempo.
