He lets it go, though. He does appreciate that she's letting him keep his habits, even if the location is changing.]
Josie will be glad to hear she isn't rid of you yet.
[So is Michael, but he's never been very good at expressing those kinds of sentiments. His relief that not too much is changing should be evident to Wanda, anyway, perpetually a little too aware of the thoughts of others as she is.]
Is your domain not private enough?
[Having lived most of his life as a non-corporeal entity, the Horizon is as real to him as the physical realm. He only half understands the importance of having a room to oneself. It's handy having a place to keep the eclectic collection of trinkets he's begun to accumulate, but he has little emotional attachment to it.]

what’s the big deal about rooms anyway, right?]
I meant for when you visit, so you don’t have to feel like you have to say hello to everyone else in the treehouse.
[not that it ever really bothered michael, she knows.]
It feels like it’s been a while since I had a place of my own. It’s one of those normal things humans like to have.

Wanda. You make me sound antisocial.
[His voice is false-chiding. She knows very well that he never greets anyone he doesn't care to speak to. False pleasantry isn't part of archangel social norms unless you're talking to God Himself, or you need something from someone. Or you're Lucifer.]
Though I do appreciate the thought.
[Perhaps he should come up with his own 'normal' human things to strive for. If they don't help him understand the human condition a little better, at least a project or two will help pass the time.
Speaking of normal human activities—]
How is the tea?

and she fails at it.]
Being as old as you are, you’re allowed to be a little bit antisocial, but I’d like to think that we can work on you seeming approachable.
[apparently something that she finds worth investing her time in.
she takes hold of her cup again, bringing it to her lips for a light sip, as if savoring it one more time before giving him her thoughts. except,]
—would you like me to describe what it tastes like, or would you prefer that I show you?
[she can use her magic, after all, to let michael get a taste of something, actually, but he’s never quite accepted the offer to do so.]

So long as it's to accord me due privileges, I suppose I can let that remark slide.
[Michael doesn't actually mind it when people point out his age. Archangels don't decay or grow less powerful with time.
Well—the ones who make good decisions don't.]
I was about to ask exactly that.
[Giving him a 'taste' as it were. He has his own ideas about the how, though. Michael lifts a hand and waits for permission in the way he does with very few. Share the memory of it with him, if you would?]

he’ll just have to meet her halfway.]
Take a sip right after.
[it’s not quite a memory, but she will replace the very specific flavors of every element that compose the tea into their actual blended result—something that is soft and not overly too sweet—once he takes another sip from his cup. wanda pulls her hand back, brings it to rest close to her own cup, after plumes of scarlet breach into his mind.]
Let me know what you think.
[he doesn’t get to just have ‘a memory’; he will experience the whole thing.]
