Who: Lestat and Thancred.
When: Early June.
Where: Nott.
What: A happenstance meeting.
Warnings: TBD.
Lestat goes to Nott at a semi-frequent rate. At first, he went perhaps twice a week, but now that he's becoming more satiated in his needs, he finds he can go longer stretches between visits to Thorne's down-and-mostly-forgotten citizens. Considering most of the residents seem to be members of some sort of underbelly of the town, Lestat isn't too sorry about what he does here.
He wouldn't be too sorry anyway, but it's easier for thugs to disappear than others.
He's walking through the streets to find someone who fits his requirements when he sees someone he knows. He's only spoken to Thancred once, and the topic of the execution had made it clear that they both had quite different views on things. There's a moment where Lestat debates slipping into the shadows of a side-street, using his speed to aid him. Instead, he starts to close the distance between them.
"I hadn't anticipated seeing a familiar face this evening."

Thancred's also volunteered his help to the people, genuinely believing that they've received the short end of the stick a number of times over by this point.
Other times, though, he's simply here for a change of scenery and to stretch his legs, so to speak. He can only wander around the castle town so many times.
He isn't expecting to run into another Summoned, particularly when it's later at night like this. He'd been intending to swing by the tavern where he and Reno had once found a criminal ledger, among other things, during their investigations. Not because he's looking for trouble, exactly, but if he were to pick up anything of interest there, it would be a bonus.
All of that has been derailed at the sight of Lestat. "I could say much the same," he replies with a nod of greeting. He hasn't decided how he feels about Lestat as of yet, if he's honest, but he's perfectly capable of being polite. "What brings you to Nott?"
no subject
"If I can be honest with you, sometimes I make up a silly little reason to come here, if only to have something else to do with my time. Pacing the castle loses its appeal rather quickly."
no subject
"It does, doesn't it? There's a reason I moved out, if only to the surrounding town." It makes some sort of difference, or so he tells himself. He places a hand to his hip and rephrases his question. "What silly little reason did you concoct tonight, then?"
no subject
He returns the little smile, as if they're sharing some great secret just for them.
"I'm sure you've got a proper reason to be here, unlike myself."
no subject
He doesn't need to share that he isn't going there simply for a drink, but it's entirely possible that listening in on the gossip of the night also won't turn up anything particularly interesting. Either way, he doesn't think the night will be a waste.
Following a brief pause, Thancred inclines his head to Lestat. "You're welcome to join me, if you'd like." He's still quite uncertain about him, but that's all the more reason to learn more.
no subject
"I'd be happy to accompany you."
He gives Thancred a motion with his hand, inviting the other to lead the way.
"How have you been since we last met?"
no subject
"Decently well, I suppose. It was a relief when the gala in Hayle went off without a hitch. Since then I've been assisting farmers here in Nott and helping a friend reintegrate after those abductions."
To say nothing of some scheming, but there's no reason to bring that up now.
He glances to Lestat at his side whilst they walk. "And you?"
no subject
"I've little to complain about. Whatever resistances I may have had upon my arrive are being chipped away, and if I'm to stay here, I ought to make the best of it, no?"
