[ Lloyd waves him off with a grin and saunters over to the fridge to pull out a few beers. Of course he wants one, what kind of person did Sam think he was? Making his way back over, he sets one on the counter by Sam's elbow. Never let it be said that he never did anything.

He watches over Sam's shoulder, not really sure what he's looking at. ]

So what're you even doing?

[ sam finishes up whatever he's doing on his pretend version of redwing and sits back in his chair, taking the beer and holding it up as a semi thanks to lloyd before opening it up and taking a pull from the bottle. ]

Working on a kind of drone I had back home. His name's Redwing. Or- [ he looks across the table at the mess of wire and electrical insides. he gives a sigh. ] Or he is when he's put together. I felt kinda restless so figured I'd find something to keep my hands busy.

[ the look on lloyd's face is answer enough, but sam asks all the same. ]

Guessing you're not a tech guy?

[ All Lloyd sees is a bunch of wires and computer junk that doesn't make any sense. He doesn't have the patience or the brains for this kinda thing. He's not a nerd, anyhow. Looking back at Sam, he smiles. ]

Can't say as I am. Not even before things went to shit.

[ Reaching out, he picks up a random piece, turning it over in his free hand before setting it down. ]

[ maybe he should become a nerd. might help him out in the long-run. but hey - who is sam to judge? so instead sam just kind of nods, accepting the fact this is not a conversation they are going to end up happening, and pushes away from the table. ]

Fair. [ he watches lloyd pick at a random piece like he might know what's going on, and then finds himself laughing when lloyd just sets it down, getting up and pushing back in his chair. ] It was just to waste time. Not like it's real.

[ if it all disappears, well. happy horizon times. sam turns to face lloyd fully, arms crossing over his head, as he leans back against the counter. ]

So what's been up with you? How're things in Nott?

[ Sam could try all he wanted to make Lloyd into a nerd, but it would never happen. He'd tear his hair out, first. He shrugs at the comment, taking another swig of his beer. ]

None'a this is real, but what the hell does that matter?

[ To that, he kind of waves a hand vaguely. ]

Eh. Things are fine now that that bitch Eponine is out of the picture. Didn't like her from the start, anyway. [ Only because he was biased from the start. Don't???? mess with his girlfriend, maybe. ]

[ sam considers the comment for a moment over the next sip of his beer, before shrugging once. lloyd makes a fair point, surprising philosophical too, but sam isn't sure that's worth pointing out just yet.

instead, he leans headlong into the update - which pulls something of a surprised look from him. ]

So- might be behind the times here, but what did Eponine do, exactly?

[ Lloyd wouldn't consider it philosophical in a make-pretend place like the Horizon. Abraxas is about as real as any of them from Vegas are gonna get, so he takes that part as it is. This? Nah, it's all pretend bullshit they can indulge in like a good high. ]

Well off the bat, I didn't like her much because she kept instigating Julie when everybody was shitcanned. But then she goes off and fuckin' stabs Susan because she gets all pissed off about somethin'. Nadine and Jules got her all patched up and taken care of, but who fuckin' does that?

[ sam blinks once, then twice, before his entire demeanor seems to shift into something a little more serious and a little more authoritative. ]

I'm sorry- what? She stabbed someone? What the hell? [ that shocks him, honestly. the girl he'd met had been skittish and uncertain, had been terrified and on guard, but this was something different. ] Do you know why?
