Who: Jack Frost + various
When: October 5th-13th
Where: Solvunn, Nocwich
What: Exploring and bothering a bunch of people
Warnings: None for now.
My original plan was to make a general open log for shenanigans, but the welcome mingle beat me to it. Now Jack is there if you want regular Solvunn chilling (ha). If you want something different (like forest exploring) or in Nocwich, I'll gladly put up a top level for you. Hit me up at the cr meme,
buttercupss, or the game server.

[His smile goes from full grin to something softer. Always on people's minds is such a great sentiment, and he appreciates it even if part of him also goes then why didn't they believe?]
Was I myth? [His tone is teasing.] Or was I real and you didn't know it? Let me guess, you don't think Big Foot is real either.
no subject
( and while he's been here an equally long time, he doesn't do that for everyone who shows up to the free cities. she's better at outreach than he is. )
Bigfoot? No, I don't think he's real despite all the sightings. I don't know, I think if something like that were real, there'd be more evidence instead of just a bunch of stories and grainy pictures. Are you about to tell me that Bigfoot's your friend too?
no subject
[At the mention of "evidence", Jack rolls his eyes and lets out a groan, clearly growing frustrated by this conversation.]
You're in a whole different universe and still ramble about "evidence"? Really? [A snort. Humans are so stubborn when it comes to belief, it's maddening.] The yetis work for Nor--Santa [He corrects the name just in time.] and Santa is my friend, so I guess they kinda are?
[Jack then flies a circle around Matt, feeling a mix of curiosity and exasperation.]
Tell me then, what do you actually believe in, Mr. Magoo? [Listen, he asked for a name and didn't get any, so he has to improvise.]
no subject
( not that it's anything bad, of course. it's cute. he just likes the various ways that people know of wanda in solvunn. )
Look, it's automatic, man. I'm a lawyer, evidence is what I feed off of.
( can't help it!
the name makes him laugh and he shrugs a shoulder. )
Law and order. I believe the world is bigger than what most people can see. And I believe in the Easter Bunny.
no subject
[As soon as Jack hears the word "lawyer", he groans. Talk about a boring, stuffy profession. But it's hard to get grumpy at Matt when he laughs at his jokes and adopts his nicknames.]
Law really is blind, huh? [Getting tired of just moving ahead, he starts flying in random directions around Matt, from whirls to upside down.] Of course the world is bigger than what people see, that's what I'm trying to tell you! [He may be pouting a little.] I guess believing in at least one of us is good enough for an adult. But you can't be a Bunny fan, you actually have a sense of humor!
no subject
( wow, matt's learning so much.
he can feel the changes in the air as jack does...whatever he's doing, moving around matt in different ways. )
My heart's broken. I've been a fan of the wrong supposedly mythical creature.
no subject
Don't worry, Mister Magoo! You've found the Guardian of Fun, so now your heart shall be healed when you become a fan of me. [Smooth, Jack. Really smooth.] You aren't stuffy and boring it seems! Does that mean you aren't a lawyer here?
[Because you can't be a lawyer and fund. Obviously.]
no subject
( well, things happen. he shrugs. )
A little between things now. So, not stuffy but I guess you could call me a laze about. I don't know which one's better.
no subject
[He's only half serious.
Jack watches Matt for a moment, wondering if he's reading too much in that shrug. That was kinda vague, to be fair. He's not a motivational speaker like North, but he can at least try. Because if this is what he thinks it is, then- well. He may know what it feels like.]
But what? Wasn't law like... lots of hard work, right? Very thick books and nights spent mixing coffee and energy drinks? For years? [Someone likes to bother college students, it seems.] Have you opened your eyes to the sad truth behind the stuffy or is this place messing with your dreams?
no subject
( gross. )
Law helps people. I get to help people that might not get help from somewhere else. So, maybe it's a little stuffy but it's a good thing. Still, I don't think it's stuffy. You make me sound all starched and stiff.
no subject
[Kinda hard to make the Spirit of Fuck-Da-Police respect authority. Sorry, Matt.]
But you didn't answer my question. It sounds like you loved helping people. What changed?
no subject
( well, that's not entirely true and he makes a face, shrugging a shoulder. )
Except I ended up here. And this place is a lot different than where I come from. I assume it's the same for you?
no subject
Sure, the place is different. But I am not. What I want to do is still the same. I shall bring winter, when the time comes. I spread fun. And I protect the children, because I'm still a Guardian.
[A pause. Again, he doesn't think of himself as a motivational speaker, but he wants to try.]
A few days before I ended up here, Nor--Santa asked my what was my center. I didn't have much of an answer back then. Do you know yours?
no subject
( that is a question that he's never thought of before and he doesn't know if he has an answer. not right off. it actually kind of stumps him.
he frowns. )
Never been asked that, never considered it. I don't know.
no subject
That's okay. Took me three centuries to find mine, and I needed Santa to get the gears turning. So... [He doesn't even know what advice to give here.] Try a few things to find out? I think what matters is... to have fun.
[Of course he does.]
no subject
( he really honestly cannot remember the last time he had fun. he does what he has to do but he doesn't know if he considers that fun. )
What do you do for fun?
( maybe he can get some ideas. )
no subject
I throw snowballs at the faces of law students in Harvard who looked like they were finals-raised zombies.
[Just teasing - but also true. Sue him (haha, get it).]
I fly, I explore, I like finding new things. I play with the kids - they're always fun of energy and they have fantastic imaginations. I like stories in all forms - and music! Music is great. And jokes, obviously.
[Pranks. He means pranks.]
no subject
( he's not a total stick in the mud! )
I like music a lot too. I use it as background noise like people would do with a television show.
