A. WINTER WELCOME
The current avalanche of the wrong Summoned into Solvunn is greeted by a rather cold and bleak winter morning. The locals are quick to try and help, offering lodgings and warm clothes for those that otherwise prefer to explore instead of staying inside. Those originally summoned into Solvunn are likely to be around, lending a helping hand should it be needed.

Despite the odd circumstance of arrival, the Summoned are not kept to one singular place. They are free to explore the place and become acquainted with the locals. One could stay in the Primary Settlement, venture towards the many different shops and homes and farms; venture a little further out towards the inn, or to the lakes where the treehouse is; or make the proper travel arrangements to go to the Secondary and Tertiary Settlements. They will be welcomed in all the settlements in a similar fashion, and—as is customary with the Summoned—be asked to help around, be it with repairs, finding lost livestock, checking up on shrines, and any other task to help abate the woes of winter and the trouble caused by the earthquake.

One warning remains the same, though: do not stray away from the paths. There are monsters out there beyond the border of the settlements, so it would be best to travel in pairs, or stay within the realm of safety.

B. TREEHOUSE PIT STOP
The fate of the Summoned in Solvunn, like in the other territories, is not to be too far away from one another. The commune is small, though, which allows for a stronger bond; now, with so many gone and swapped elsewhere, it's a little more difficult to know where they are all at, currently, within this territory. Wanda tosses the idea around, to get people to come to the treehouse to know of the place. It's closest to the Primary Settlement, and, from here, the Summoned can find a path to wherever they deem best to go to—back to the Primary Settlement, towards the inn, or maybe even further south towards the Secondary Settlement.

The newly arrived Summoned are free to explore the space. They can step into the garden and explore the edges of the forest, or even greet Eli the goat and Clover the horse out in their sheds, though they will expect an apple or another treat for their troubles. An orange cat will follow the new strangers about, curious, and demanding attention, or even leading them further inside the treehouse. It is warm and cozy inside, and the different stairs will lead up to the different floors, doors opening up onto balconies and towards walkways across trees, to netted landings to look about. In the main house, some rooms are locked, but Wanda will let everyone know that they are welcome to make use of the amenities and to sit around if they want.

Something smells really good, coming from the kitchen, though. Carmy has been here for a couple of hours, cooking his anxiety away. Stepping inside the kitchen, snacks can be taken, but outside will be an area set apart, thick blankets streaming down the ceiling to enclose the space and keep the winter cold from affecting the dining experience ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ). Anyone can come and go, sit down, and then step away; a hearth at the side keeps the inside warm enough to cozy up.

[ when wanda and peter brought carmy to the treehouse and got him settled, she'd taken peter aside and told him to let carmy do his thing. 'his thing' being cooking, which peter had obviously known, and he didn't need wanda to essentially tell him to stop making carmy anxious because peter knew about that, too. but it's fine, he can be discreet; wanda clearly has checking in on carmy handled, and it's not as if peter doesn't have a shortage of things to do. so he leaves carmy alone, lets him do his thing, occasionally stopping by to steal bites of whatever food he's made under the guise of taste-testing.

but whenever carmy allows himself a smoke break, or whenever wanda manages to pull him away for a few minutes, peter slips into the kitchen and gets to work: he washes all the used pots and pans and plates, wiping down the counters and cleaning whatever spills carmy may have missed. the cool thing about having super speed is that it all takes him less than two minutes, and by the time carmy wanders back into the kitchen each time, it looks nice and clean and ready for him to use again.

on his third round back in, however, carmy will find an open bottle of coke waiting for him. peter himself is leaning against the counter stuffing his face with one of the bundt cakes he made earlier, and nods to carmy in greeting.

This is like, one of the best things you've made. Not as good as the Twinkies, but still really good.

[ Honestly? Carmy would probably kinda deal if things kept going insane; he's really good at that, which personally he thinks is normal—a kitchen's all about controlling chaos, and maybe that's how he's approached life, too—but people tell him it's not, you know, actually that normal and he gets the feeling Wanda's being, uh, extra nice? To him?

Peter, too.

So, in his mind, what he's told himself, is that he's cooking because of them, right? Helping out the only way he knows. And he's got every intention of scrubbing every fucking pot and shit, but there's a funny thing that happens: he doesn't need to. The first time he goes back into the kitchen to give it spotless, he spent five minutes staring at it trying to figure out what the fuck happened. Then it keeps, it just keeps happening?

Like now. Again. Somehow, Peter's always around, too. Carmy takes the Coke absently. ]

Oh—thanks. Yeah, sorry, I had a batch going for you but it's back in Thorne so... [ He runs a hand through his hair, his other hand on his hip. He looks at the sink. Then he looks at the stove. ] Hey, um—I might just be going insane here, but did your sister cast some kind of whacky cleaning spell over this place?

Hey, no worries, man. That whole batch you gave me lasted me a whole day, so, [ it's a long time for him. ] Best day of my life. I'll never forget it.

[ and he means it, even while he stuffs the rest of the cake into his mouth, washing it down with his own bottle of coke. but he shrugs at carmy's question, glancing around the kitchen as if he could somehow see wanda's magic at work. actually, the fact that carmy brings up her magic himself is more than peter would have expected; he just assumes carmy kind of tries to ignore the weird stuff that goes on around him, or just copes with the insanity by doing more cooking. ]

I mean, maybe? She can pretty much do whatever she wants. Like this treehouse—it definitely didn't have this many rooms yesterday.

[ he pauses while helping himself to another cake, chewing briefly before swallowing. ]

But if you mean that, [ he waves a hand to the empty sink and the large amount of dried pots and plates stacked neatly on the counter. ] That was me.

[ Carmy's lips turn up into a wry smile before he gives a deadpan, ] Wow. A whole day, that's impressive.

[ Honestly? It feels good, making Peter's day with something as simple as a sheet of vanilla sponge cakes. That's why he does this, and even if it doesn't seem like he's loosened up—Carmy's still filled to the brim with nervous energy—he sort of has? He feels better, anyway, than he did back in Chicago, back at The Bear, and he feels fucking guilty about that, about abandoning his work and everyone, but at the same time, he's found himself back where he was when he started staging. Carving out that space around him.

So yeah, it's been a bit easier to let in those bits of magic and weird. The chefs used it all over Thorne's kitchen, pulling it out as casually as you'd pull out a frying pan. After he fell through Wanda's big nightmare black hole, a cleaning spell is, uh, less crazy. ]

Oh. [ He blinks at Peter. ] You didn't tell me you also did that stuff.
