A. WINTER WELCOME
The current avalanche of the wrong Summoned into Solvunn is greeted by a rather cold and bleak winter morning. The locals are quick to try and help, offering lodgings and warm clothes for those that otherwise prefer to explore instead of staying inside. Those originally summoned into Solvunn are likely to be around, lending a helping hand should it be needed.
Despite the odd circumstance of arrival, the Summoned are not kept to one singular place. They are free to explore the place and become acquainted with the locals. One could stay in the Primary Settlement, venture towards the many different shops and homes and farms; venture a little further out towards the inn, or to the lakes where the treehouse is; or make the proper travel arrangements to go to the Secondary and Tertiary Settlements. They will be welcomed in all the settlements in a similar fashion, and—as is customary with the Summoned—be asked to help around, be it with repairs, finding lost livestock, checking up on shrines, and any other task to help abate the woes of winter and the trouble caused by the earthquake.
One warning remains the same, though: do not stray away from the paths. There are monsters out there beyond the border of the settlements, so it would be best to travel in pairs, or stay within the realm of safety.
B. TREEHOUSE PIT STOP
The fate of the Summoned in Solvunn, like in the other territories, is not to be too far away from one another. The commune is small, though, which allows for a stronger bond; now, with so many gone and swapped elsewhere, it's a little more difficult to know where they are all at, currently, within this territory. Wanda tosses the idea around, to get people to come to the treehouse to know of the place. It's closest to the Primary Settlement, and, from here, the Summoned can find a path to wherever they deem best to go to—back to the Primary Settlement, towards the inn, or maybe even further south towards the Secondary Settlement.
The newly arrived Summoned are free to explore the space. They can step into the garden and explore the edges of the forest, or even greet Eli the goat and Clover the horse out in their sheds, though they will expect an apple or another treat for their troubles. An orange cat will follow the new strangers about, curious, and demanding attention, or even leading them further inside the treehouse. It is warm and cozy inside, and the different stairs will lead up to the different floors, doors opening up onto balconies and towards walkways across trees, to netted landings to look about. In the main house, some rooms are locked, but Wanda will let everyone know that they are welcome to make use of the amenities and to sit around if they want.
Something smells really good, coming from the kitchen, though. Carmy has been here for a couple of hours, cooking his anxiety away. Stepping inside the kitchen, snacks can be taken, but outside will be an area set apart, thick blankets streaming down the ceiling to enclose the space and keep the winter cold from affecting the dining experience ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ). Anyone can come and go, sit down, and then step away; a hearth at the side keeps the inside warm enough to cozy up.
C. WILDCARD
You are in Solvunn now. Live your best goatcult life while you're here.

carmy berzatto | the bear — OTA.
So that's what he does.
He cooks a fuckton.
And now there's an insane feast, and God, a sneaking feeling is beginning to creep up on him that all of this, it's, uh—kind of looks a lot? Like Christmas at Mom's?
Minus the chaos. So that's important. Right? He's trying really fucking hard not to bring the chaos with him into the Maximoff house. They've got a cool little place, they've been kind enough to let him sleep on their couch (or the floor, depending on if the cat gets there first) so—
Anyway, you can find him:
But, if you wanna chat, he'll be receptive. ]

That said, Percy's used to being flung to and from different places and expected to land on his feet — like a globe-trotting cat or something — and it's extra awesome when there are familiar faces around.
Like Carmy's. ]
Did you do all this? [ Hey, man.
He gestures to the breadth of food offerings available, eyes wide. ] Dude, it's crazy impressive.

in all that time, she would check up on him, make sure he was alright, drinking water and taking a few breaks, or asking him about what he was making—keep him from spiraling in his head and to voice things out.
she knows what anxiety looks like; she herself was feeling the stress of the situation and trying to keep as busy as possible.
at one moment, climbing down the steps into the kitchen, she finds that he's not there; there is nothing on the stove, nor on the fire, and the counters were clean without anything prepared for cooking. it is dot who leads her to him, out in the garden, having a smoke. she picks up the cat when the path ends, for dot is not a big fan of stepping on snow. )
I get the feeling you will run out of them soon.
( cigarettes, that is.
she rubs lightly at dot's back, as the cat moves to press against her chest, front paws on her shoulder. )
Do you think you're ready for a tour of the treehouse? I'd hope it went without saying that you are welcome to stay here.

but whenever carmy allows himself a smoke break, or whenever wanda manages to pull him away for a few minutes, peter slips into the kitchen and gets to work: he washes all the used pots and pans and plates, wiping down the counters and cleaning whatever spills carmy may have missed. the cool thing about having super speed is that it all takes him less than two minutes, and by the time carmy wanders back into the kitchen each time, it looks nice and clean and ready for him to use again.
on his third round back in, however, carmy will find an open bottle of coke waiting for him. peter himself is leaning against the counter stuffing his face with one of the bundt cakes he made earlier, and nods to carmy in greeting. ]
This is like, one of the best things you've made. Not as good as the Twinkies, but still really good.

He can't say he's surprised his food caught somebody's attention. That's the only thing he's ever got that catches people attention. And, you know, he's good with that. It's giving him something to do other than take up more space in Wanda's kitchen.
So he throws on a fur coat, the type straight out of the Viking age, and asks the locals to point him to the meeting spot: the little bar, or tavern, or whatever. Inside, it's dim, lit only by candles and a roaring fire. Smells like mead and damp wood.
He's got his hands jammed into his pockets, peering through the crowd for the face he's supposed to be looking for. Janus? Josef? Fuck. Is that right? Does he have that right? Oh no. Shit. What the hell was his name— ]

I did, actually.
[ Steve lifts a hand. After years spent living in a desert, it's been odd to come somewhere this cold. Not that he feels the temperatures as much as a regular human, but still, a warm hearty meal would hit the spot right about now.

[Oh thank everything, another familiar face. Maybe this won't be as bad as he'd thought. The cold, though? The cold is horrendous and he absolutely hates it. There are ice chunks on his plating, and even in the treehouse, it's taking a while to melt. Stupid biology.]
[He's also swathed in as many layers as possible, all belted and held together into a makeshift parka. He looks a lot bulkier than usual. A little like a kid in their first puffy coat.]

He's been out most of the day searching for escaped livestock, but once the sun goes down it's difficult to do too much. So he's circled back to the treehouse, but it looks like all the chores were already taken care of, meaning that he has little option but to take it easy.
He does that with a sketchbook that Wanda rustled up for him, sitting in one of the treehouse's window seats as he doodles idly. Dot has even come to curl up with him, although he flies off of Steve's legs where he'd curled up when Hilda bursts in, yes, like a hurricane.
Steve manages not to startle, but he sets the sketchbook down, sending her an unsure look when he notes what she's holding. ]

the second night, however, she tries to push past her own clambering ideas of discomfort and spend a little time allowing for the strangeness to become familiar.
which is why she reaches the room hilda has been invited to claim as her own; the ladder up is a bit of a rough hurdle, and the hallway to the living space a bit cold, but it's warm once wanda finds the bed, finds her friend, and allows herself under the blankets, rousing hilda from whatever ounce of sleep she might have been able to have reached; the candles were still lit, so it gives wanda reason to believe she wasn't fully asleep yet. the embrace is comfortable, wanda reaching for one of hilda's hands to hold. )

Cloud winces at the noise coming from the field as he passes by, chocobo and its reins in hand, as another goat following closely behind him. He's unsure what set off this group of goats, but when he turns to investigate, he hears the distinct sound of someone wailing alongside them before he spots the shock of pink in the middle of the herd. He only knows one person who looked like that...
Hearing the cacophony a stone's throw away, the goat with him begin crying as well.]

Thankfully, there are still chores to do. Farm chores, which will feed his need to exert himself. He's noticed by now that Wanda will wake up early to tend to the animals, and while she's probably used to doing it by herself, the work will go faster with two sets of hands.
And some paws, since Dot follows after him as he bundles up and leaves the treehouse to join Wanda outside. The cat seems to have taken a liking to him, probably because he's usually calm and quiet. ]

At least there's plenty to do and keep busy. That, and he has his own agenda. Though even with his own agenda that doesn't override the fact that there is something pleasant about spending time with friends that he doesn't get to see very often. Which is exactly how he finds himself assisting Wanda collecting chickens.
He emerges from the bushes with a much more irate chicken tucked under his arm where it can't peck at his fingers. ]

[Nadine takes no convincing to head to the gathering of Summoned. She's not so thrown off as others, she's visited Solvunn once before. It hadn't been for long, and she'd been there to work, but it's not an entirely foreign place.
It has changed, though. And she's still disoriented and worried about home - her animals, her practice, her shop. Her gardens. She knows she'll be able to find someone to look after them, but she's still going to worry. Thank god she'd hired another doctor for the offices. Things will be taken care of. For the moment, she's here.
She's already bundled up in layers of white and gray furs over a thick woolen dress and tunic. The Solvunnites have been welcoming and generous, at least.
The same can be said of the Summoned. She can be found eagerly partaking of the amazing food She makes no attempt to be ladylike, digging in with abandon. Getting displaced works up an appetite.
She'll also be found outside, a bit away from the main gathering, smoking something that certainly isn't tobacco. A lucky stroke she'd had her bag with her, and all of her on the go medical supplies. Her nerves need the herbal soothing.
She's more than happy to crouch down to pet the cat that's wandering about, as much for the comfort as to warm her hands in soft fur. Eventually, she's going to have figure out what to do while she's here...]
