A. WINTER WELCOME
The current avalanche of the wrong Summoned into Solvunn is greeted by a rather cold and bleak winter morning. The locals are quick to try and help, offering lodgings and warm clothes for those that otherwise prefer to explore instead of staying inside. Those originally summoned into Solvunn are likely to be around, lending a helping hand should it be needed.
Despite the odd circumstance of arrival, the Summoned are not kept to one singular place. They are free to explore the place and become acquainted with the locals. One could stay in the Primary Settlement, venture towards the many different shops and homes and farms; venture a little further out towards the inn, or to the lakes where the treehouse is; or make the proper travel arrangements to go to the Secondary and Tertiary Settlements. They will be welcomed in all the settlements in a similar fashion, andβas is customary with the Summonedβbe asked to help around, be it with repairs, finding lost livestock, checking up on shrines, and any other task to help abate the woes of winter and the trouble caused by the earthquake.
One warning remains the same, though: do not stray away from the paths. There are monsters out there beyond the border of the settlements, so it would be best to travel in pairs, or stay within the realm of safety.

B. TREEHOUSE PIT STOP
The fate of the Summoned in Solvunn, like in the other territories, is not to be too far away from one another. The commune is small, though, which allows for a stronger bond; now, with so many gone and swapped elsewhere, it's a little more difficult to know where they are all at, currently, within this territory. Wanda tosses the idea around, to get people to come to the treehouse to know of the place. It's closest to the Primary Settlement, and, from here, the Summoned can find a path to wherever they deem best to go toβback to the Primary Settlement, towards the inn, or maybe even further south towards the Secondary Settlement.
The newly arrived Summoned are free to explore the space. They can step into the garden and explore the edges of the forest, or even greet Eli the goat and Clover the horse out in their sheds, though they will expect an apple or another treat for their troubles. An orange cat will follow the new strangers about, curious, and demanding attention, or even leading them further inside the treehouse. It is warm and cozy inside, and the different stairs will lead up to the different floors, doors opening up onto balconies and towards walkways across trees, to netted landings to look about. In the main house, some rooms are locked, but Wanda will let everyone know that they are welcome to make use of the amenities and to sit around if they want.
Something smells really good, coming from the kitchen, though. Carmy has been here for a couple of hours, cooking his anxiety away. Stepping inside the kitchen, snacks can be taken, but outside will be an area set apart, thick blankets streaming down the ceiling to enclose the space and keep the winter cold from affecting the dining experience ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ). Anyone can come and go, sit down, and then step away; a hearth at the side keeps the inside warm enough to cozy up.

C. WILDCARD
You are in Solvunn now. Live your best goatcult life while you're here.
no subject
[Which is... hard to talk about, after the awful revelations recently. After what Shepard found out about their future.]
[He exhales sharply into the mug, watching the liquid slosh gently.]
... I don't know. I - [No, he needs to school it back. Collect himself.] Guess if you know a decent tailor, around here, I could use a coat that fits.

[Nadine is sympathetic, aware her own situation isn't common. She and Jaskier had both ended up here. Not many other pairs could say the same.
But maybe she can do something about the cold, even if she can't help with Garrus being separated from his partner.]
I don't know a tailor, but I do know magic and plants...and cloth is plant fiber...I can probably work a warming spell into a big cloak.
no subject
This hasn't happened before, has it? That you know of?
[Nadine tends to know more about the magic in this place than he does, so it can't hurt to ask.]
Really? [Now that has him perk up.] I'd owe you for that.
no subject
[Nadine shakes her head. Sure, sometimes magic goes wrong. Sometimes the Singularity hiccups and it has effects on the world.
But this sort of mass portal malfunction is new. The implications are...not great. Particularly coupled with everything else.
For the moment, there's more pressing immediate problems. Like keeping Garrus warm.]
Yeah, really. It shouldn't be too hard. We just need to find a good big cloak for you.
no subject
I start wondering - what happens if it keeps getting worse?
[What happens to the normal people? The civilians. The ones who literally can't go near the damn thing. And he knows Nadine won't have the answer, none of them do. It's a worried, rhetorical question.]
Wonder if I can sell labor for a decent one... Nothing to calibrate here in return.
no subject
[Nadine wishes she understood the Singularity better. Julie had, but Julie isn't here anymore. Something she's always dimly aware of.]
And I have no idea. Judging on everything that's happened before....I'm guessing things could get pretty damn bad.
[She keeps her voice down, arms folded over her front and body angled towards Garrus. No one else needs to hear what they're talking about, people are uneasy enough as it is.]
We need to be on alert.
[Then she raises her voice to a normal level.]
Oh yeah, trade is big here. People pay in stuff instead of money.
no subject
I wonder if enough of us chipped in, if there'd be a way to shield them, somehow.
[Taking the cue, he pitches his own voice low, too. It comes out more as a deep vibration than words, but Nadine is near enough, familiar enough, to understand.]
Or contain... it.
[That's a pipe dream. For sure.]
Well, good thing I have all this time on my hands to trade.
no subject
[Nadine worries at her lower lip, wishing she had something more helpful to say. The Singularity has always seemed like something much to great for her mind to comprehend. Maybe if she'd researched it more, made some personal connection....
Or maybe not. Maybe that didn't even matter after all.]
I don't understand a lot about all of it. Application of academic magic? Sure, I understand that just fine. But anything above that....
[She shakes her head. It's stupid, isn't it? She uses magic. She uses it all the time, she has for years. But all she could explain is the basics of how people use it, not what it is.
Or why they can use it at all.]
no subject
[Possibly unhelpful, but that's the framework he understands. Magic is a tool, a weapon is a tool. Use it recklessly, without understanding it, someone gets hurt.]
[Or worse.]
You understand more than I do, even being here this long. But, I hear you. I just hate the waiting, speculating, without trying to make a plan.
[Any plan.]
