"In my world instant darkness has a way of getting people anxious." It may be she's never heard of the Darkling, but the fact he was just talking about someone who split his country into two made of darkness it's not hard to guess.

Jesper glances over at her, curious. "As much as someone can know a Saint. She was a hero for another country back home, Ravka. I wasn't aware other people knew her name." The 'was' can be interpreted any number of ways, that he didn't know her so he's using that term, or the correct interpretation, which is she's dead (as far as he knows). But it could be anything.

"Want to do me a favor and walk me back to the inn? I can find my way blind but it's easier with some friendly company." He's hopeful.

So he doesn't know her personally, but they're from the same world. Apparently. That is... interesting. Ciri tucks this information away in case it becomes relevant, but especially with Alina gone, it... doesn't really matter much. And she's not in the mood to bring up what happened.

"I've heard it," she confirms, and leaves it at that. She knows the name. She knows the woman. (It would have been easier if she didn't.) At the very least, Jesper's apparent lack of familiarity with Alina means Ciri doesn't think much of his phrasing.

He asks nicely, more or less. She sighs and nods, turning down the path again. She's very familiar with the inn. The very same one Alina had stayed in before.

"Fine. Seems like Sam's collected half the Summoned in the city like a bunch of stray dogs. I'll get you there."
